  • Epic Movie

    By Loco | August 7, 2008

This was without a doubt one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen.  I never laughed once throughout the entire thing!  Normally I like this sort of thing, Naked Gun, Hot Shots and Ace Ventura are among my favorite comedies.  Even the original Scary Movie was pretty good, but this, Epic Movie, was a steaming piece of dog shit (and just as funny).  If you haven’t seen it, DON’T!  If you have seen it, you have my condolences.

    The Little Console that Couldn’t

    By Loco | August 4, 2008

I used to own a Dreamcast, like a lot of people, and for it’s time it was a great console.  The graphics were great and there were some decent games on it that haven’t been seen since.  Armada was one of my all time favorites and despite rumors of an Armada 2 showing up on XBox, PS2 and newer generation systems, it never came to be.

What killed this great console?  Sega’s last foray into the console hardware market?  I believe piracy had a strong hand in it.  Don’t get me wrong, normally when the corporate big-wigs start blaming piracy for the loss of billions of fun bux in the entertainment industry I just roll my eyes.  A lot of pirates wouldn’t buy the item anyway, even if that was their only choice, the ‘industry’ loses nothing from those people.  But in the case of the Dreamcast it was just too easy to play copied games and I feel that it really hurt their software sales.  You didn’t even need to install a mod chip or run any kind of crack on the console itself.  Download a game, run a little file to crack it, burn it to a CD and you normally had a perfectly working copy of the game.

I could be wrong in all of this of course, but I’m too lazy to bother doing more in-depth research into SEGAs reasons for letting such a good piece of hardware die an early death.  I think I’m right (at least somewhat) and that’s good enough for me.

    Idiot Shoplifter

    By Loco | August 1, 2008

This particular idjit I had the pleasure of seeing personally.  A guy came into the store I work at and wandered around a bit, he kept looking at the counter and we quickly got the whole ‘this guy’s going to steal’ vibe from him.  Sure enough, he bent down behind a shelf for a moment at which point one of the counter girls called over to him “Can I help you sir?”.  He stood back up right away and said no, he was just browsing.  He finished his walk around the aisle and promptly left.

Thinking that something was amiss I went over to check on the stuff he had walked past and after several minutes figured out that something was in fact missing.  I went down to the office to review the security footage and sure enough, at the time when the girl shouted over to him, he was in the middle of putting a box into his jacket, but he put that back on the shelf.  The item he stole, he stuffed down his coat sleeve, was a 10 pack of blank cassette tapes.  Yep, it’s hard to enough to believe that we still have such a thing in stock let alone someone wanting to steal them.

After being picked up 20 minutes later by the police, stolen goods still in his possession, he even said to the cops “yeah it was pretty stupid to steal that, I should have taken something better..”   My immediate reponse to that was “He shouldn’t have been stealing anything in the first place!”  What an idjit.

    Pelican Stuck in Tree

    By Supreme Idjit | July 25, 2008

I don’t know which is more stupid; the bird for getting stuck in the tree or CNN for treating it as a big news story. I mean, birds can fly so it’s not exactly stuck there, unless it impaled itself on a branch or something. Maybe got it’s foot caught, I suppose there’s a few ways this could happen, but come on CNN I’m sure there’s more interesting things to report on, right?!

    From the Mouths of Customers

    By Supreme Idjit | July 22, 2008

I’ve been working in retail for most of my working life, if it weren’t for being self employed during most of those years I’d have run away screaming a long time ago.

Hey man you wanna buy a 17″ CRT monitor?
Nah, I’ve got a bunch in stock already but no one wants them, everyone wants an LCD these days.
The day everyone has one of those is the day I become president.

Any way I can trade this for another game?
Not for something that old, I have those in a $5 bin and they still don’t sell
Oh, well can you give me $5 for it?
We only sell them for $5 ourselves!

    The Panty Shot

    By Supreme Idjit | July 19, 2008

This is one of the stupidest things to get my attention lately. Up-skirt panty shots of celebrities, typically when they’re getting out of a car. Some ‘celebrity news’ websites go on and on about how it’s such a big deal that this or that actress was so careless to expose a bit of cloth. BIG DEAL!

Take this shot of Uma Thurman getting out of a car for instance, yup, those are panties. *yawn*

Wouldn’t it just make more sense to watch some of her movies? She’s bound to be wearing underwear in at least one of them, without a pesky skirt or dress in the way you can just admire the full blown panty goodness.

    The Choking Game

    By Supreme Idjit | July 15, 2008

Welcome! to a blog dedicated mainly to stupid people or the stupid things they do.

Our first story comes courtesy of some moronic kids who like to choke themselves to get a short high. When you cut off oxygen to the brain, you get dizzy, and apparently kids all over think this is a cool thing to do. Riiiight. Stupid idjits. Over 80 children under the age of 19 in the US alone have died since 1996 by playing this ‘game’. Many of them were alone, ‘playing’ by themselves, which to me reeks of suicide in at least some of those cases.

The possibility of this game killing you is only one of the bad side effects. Severe brain damage can also occur when the brain doesn’t get it’s oxygen. Spinal damage or neck injuries are also possible since belts and ropes around the neck are often used as the method of choking.

For the most part, parent’s are rather uneducated in this matter. I’m in my mid 30s and I had never heard of choking game before, I guess my generation (or at least the people I grew up with) weren’t such idjits. ‘No choking yourself’ has just made it onto the list of things my daughter needs to be warned about when she gets older. Actually I think I’ll just make her read this blog since by the time she can read it’ll be full of stupid shit that people shouldn’t do. =)

    Turkey Boy Hunter

    By Supreme Idjit | July 12, 2008

It takes a special kind of idjit to kill your own kid, but that’s what just happened in Minnesota. A man had taken his 9 year old son on a turkey hunting trip that ended tragically with the boy being shot in the chest, by his father, who had mistaken him for a turkey.

I can understand that hunting accidents do happen and turkeys are large birds, but a 9 year old boy is certainly bigger than a turkey, right? What kind of idjit goes blasting wildly into the bushes at the slightest sign of movement? I just don’t understand it. Are hunters not required to wear those bright orange vests in Minnesota?

BELLE PLAINE, Minn. — The Sibley County Sheriff says that a man who accidentally shot and killed his 9-year-old son while they were hunting apparently mistook the boy for a turkey.

Sheriff Bruce Ponath says that Anthony Klaseus of Belle Plaine and his son Hunter were hunting turkey about three miles west of Belle Plaine around 6:30 p.m. Saturday when Klaseus shot his son in the chest with a 12 gauge shotgun.

Klaseus dialed 911 on his cell phone. Emergency responders pronounced the boy dead at the scene.

“He was absolutely panicked. That would be an understatement,” Ponath said. “Very distraught.”

Ponath said the shooting was an accident but that his department is continuing to investigate the circumstances.
