The girlfriend asked if I was obsessed with the cupcakes or just pretty things, I opted for the pretty things. How can one not love these cupcakes from The Cupcake Bakery right.
I wasn’t the only obsessed as you can see – but whether the co-worker was obsessed with pretty things or cupcakes, your guess is as good as mine. Did she have all of them.. ?? yes she did..!
Was i disappointed like some told me.. on their return ..?? nah.. it was pretty nice.. i liked the new store at The QVB better, because it is just too cute the store. The huge menu as you can see there .. makes it all too easy to choose all of them. The price is like more designer cupcakes at $3.50Aud – they looked good and tasted fine by me – lots of icing.. and i know my kid would love it.

If you haven’t tried the Vietnamese sandwiches that they called Banh Mi – you have to, they are simple, delightful and cheap when you are in Vietnam. But i didn’ t get mine in Vietnam – we were on a short break to San Francisco. Located in a corner in San Jose – this shop is a chain based store. Everything is fresh, a wee bit spicy and the bread was nice and light. Inside the sandwich were cold cut ham and some crunchy vegies – and the taste was pretty good. You should try it too.
A summer night drink on the patio after a bbq with some good friends. What can one asked for more? good friends and a good drink of Vodka with some lychee liquer and club soda with some lemon juice and of course ice cubes. The girlfriends put in some fruits in theirs but I just had mine with some mint leaves. Very refreshing and very cool.
So there was a cart at the Farmer’s market back home and they had these charity hotdog – to raise fund for some children’s place in town. Not a bad day for a quickie – so asked for one. In order to get fed, one just need to make a donation, so I did. I see a lot of people giving like a toonie or a loonie but I gave $5 and the guy selling the hotdogs asked if I only wanted one. Guess he must think $5 is entitled to more?
The asparagas season is here and the family and I cannot wait to get making some wicked creation with them. I saw a bunch of it on sale at our local supermarket and picked some out. We love them plain with some salt and butter or if we feel fancy, we wrap some bacon around them and BBQ them. The wife loves them with Hollandaise sauce and it’s easy to make them yourself at home. The wife being an asian loves any kind of vegetables, so you can imagine how happy she was to see the aparagas season with cheap aparagas to buy. The white ones, she loves them too.
I asked for cheese fries and they gave me this at KFC – oh well, might as well try it right – it came with a combo that we bought for the family. The wife wanted to try the ribs and so I bought some chicken to eat with this. The sour cream and the meat and tomato is really not my thing, couldn’t stomach it. Next time, I know to be sure to check before leaving KFC.
Have a new flavored cake this week at the local supermarket and since the wife likes bananas, we decided to give it a try. Nothing spectacular and the inside was white, so it was ok but we won’t buy it again – I guess.
The wife and I came home the other night and while putting away the dishes, so that she can wash another batch found this in our dish rack. Obviously, this isn’t one of our work but of the babysitter. I asked the wife, if the sitter even washed the pot, in which the wife was being nice and said, she was probably distracted from looking after our monster brat.
The sitter will be going away to college this fall and will be staying in her own apartment, if I were her parents, I would be real worried for her.
