Pelican Stuck in Tree

0

I don’t know which is more stupid; the bird for getting stuck in the tree or CNN for treating it as a big news story. I mean, birds can fly so it’s not exactly stuck there, unless it impaled itself on a branch or something. Maybe got it’s foot caught, I suppose there’s a few ways this could happen, but come on CNN I’m sure there’s more interesting things to report on, right?!

From the Mouths of Customers

I’ve been working in retail for most of my working life, if it weren’t for being self employed during most of those years I’d have run away screaming a long time ago.

Hey man you wanna buy a 17″ CRT monitor?
Nah, I’ve got a bunch in stock already but no one wants them, everyone wants an LCD these days.
The day everyone has one of those is the day I become president.

walks in holding a copy of NHL 2003 for GameCube
Any way I can trade this for another game?
Not for something that old, I have those in a $5 bin and they still don’t sell
Oh, well can you give me $5 for it?
We only sell them for $5 ourselves!

Satay

satay

Traveled to Singapore 9 yrs ago, to meet my then online girlfriend and I ate this meat on a skewer for almost most of my meal.  For those who have tried satay before, you know it can get addictive but for those who don’t know what I’m talking about, well, Satay is actually a malay dish.  It comes with peanut sauce and some steamed square rice called kutupat.  You bbq the chicken meat or beef or even pork meat in some charcoal BBQ  and they put some kind fragrant oil while BBQing and that’s the local dish i survived on for almost 5 weeks in Asia.  Of course, there are other dishes I liked but that’s for another day.

Munchies & A Lil’ bit of everything started out as sharing the food, places and things that i’ve seen and found.  But as the years went by – I’ve added other things to the blog – like my life, my friends and life here in Canada and the places that my spouse and I have been to.  Originally from Hong Kong but moved to Nova Scotia with a traveling spouse and 3 kids – we have a very colorful life as you can see in this blog.   The world is so huge – and we just like to share everything with you.  Enjoy your stay and leave a comment.
