Pot Washing

pot

The wife and I came home the other night and while putting away the dishes, so that she can wash another batch found this in our dish rack.  Obviously, this isn’t one of our work but of the babysitter.   I asked the wife, if the sitter even washed the pot, in which the wife was being nice and said, she was probably distracted from looking after our monster brat.

The sitter will be going away to college this fall and will be staying in her own apartment, if I were her parents, I would be real worried for her.

Chicken Rice, still my favorite and had this the very first time when I was in Singapore, visiting my online g/f.

Funky Colored Lobster

bluelobster

Funky colored lobster had been appearing on our shores for the last few years.  Everyone was excited when we had our first blue lobster and I had asked some who had cooked and eat them if they tasted any different, apparently not.  Lobster pigmentation was what caused the lobster to turn blue according to some fishermen in town. Whether it is for a fact or not I don’t know for sure.

Coffee Coach Express

The Coffee Coach Express aka train station is open for business again.  We used to love going there till one day .. we got bad ice cream, YES !  bad soft serve ice cream at that, from that day on, the spouse didn’t want to eat there anymore.  But everyone deserve a second chance and since summer is round the corner, I might just be able to convince her to try the train snacks again.

Right by the waterfront, where everything is happening during the summer and since the town is expecting the Mega-Yacht to come in, it is actually a goldmine if they know how to manage this snack place.  They have lobsters, calamari, fish and chips, fries and many other snack stuff and all sorts of colorful drinks.

Unfortunately, they are a lot pricier than most places for a snack shack, and only during days where they have events on the waterfront, they get some business, even then I feel they can do a lot better.  The Coffee Coach is now owned by Rudders, they used to be own by someone else outta town who had another restaurant but I guess he didn’t want the hassle no more?  Hard to do business in this town because it is so hard to get good workers.

Toots

My favorite munchie store – been here before I was in high school.  Now that has gotta say something right.  Whether you need a newspaper, a drink, a snack or a sandwich, they even have ice cream – here is where you go.

Strawberry Light Cream Cheese Bagel

bagel

I love cheese but not so much into cream cheese.  Unfortunately, for me the wife loves anything healthy, so sometimes she indulges in cream cheese but of course it had to be light cream cheese with a toasted sesame seed bagel from Tim Hortons.  She pretty much tasted all kinds of bagel from all over the world and she finds Tim Hortons bagel one of the best when it is eaten hot.   But nothing beats having a smoked salmon with cream cheese anything bagel toasted.  So if you are headed this way – Atlantic Canada or anywheres in Canada, Tim’s bagel is cheap and good.

Cake For A Princess

A friend’s kid had her birthday the other day and his sister had baked this cake entirely on her own from scratch.  Since the kid wanted a princess cake, she made one that looked like a princess crown.  Those pink and black stuff i think are bubble gums.  They tasted pretty good too – one thing the Western gals are good at is the baking and the cookie making.
