Jumped on the plane last minute and went to be with the spouse who was in Vancouver for the week for business. So I joined him there in the L’ Hermitage Hotel – well known for being one of the best hotels in Vancouver and they are not wrong at all. The L’Hermitage Hotel is also a service apartment for long staying guest and those who are staying for at least a week, all the rooms are said to be suite rooms. The hotel has its own personal concierge or door man door and the dog has its own business card – very cute although some people may not think the same.
They say you pay for what you get – and the Petite Boutique room was what the spouse’s company paid for, the staff were friendly and the hotel was quite spotless and within walking distance to all the important places that a visitor from another province would want to explore. I also enjoyed the breakfast and the Italian restaurant within the hotel and the 15% discount on the bill as a hotel guest. Highly commendable of the L’Hermitage Hotel is the staff tries to learn your name and address you according making you feel very special. I did have a great weekend at the L’Hermitage and the room rates were really good for a downtown hotel in Vancouver – about $200 – $250 – definitely better than the Hyatt Toronto that we were at a few months ago.
