Traveling with the spouse when he is on business can be real fun especially if you have lots of free time to look for houses for investment or even a commercial building for investment. His co-worker who had just put a pool in his house had invited us for a bbq and I was kind of interested in the area and he had mentined about a commercial real estate lawyer raleigh nc if we were serious about it.
It would be fun to move closer to my friends who are all in North Carolina as there are lots of opportunities there. The kids will be in better schools and they will have better jobs too. I’m tempted because the spouse travels a lot to the United States for work and it would make more sense to move and be in USA. Property prices are comparable to those in this small town but they do have a lot more to offer. But it will be a big move but for the work that both of us are doing, I’m sure we will do well in NC.
One huge reason for the love of traveling is being able to eat and drink all kinds of different food and drinks but of course, learning the different culture is just as enjoyable too. I want my kids to travel the world before they get marry and have kids of their own. One can never learn that much without traveling and seeing for yourself first hand what is going on outside your comfort zone. Traveling allows me to appreciate what I have and to become humble and learn humility. This is just a bloody Mary but look at how different the presentation it has in the East. While the West couldn’t be right bothered about enticing their customers, in the East – it’s all about pleasing the palate and the eyes as well. Therefore, can you blame the ASians for having a lot more money than the ordinary West?
I was invited by some friends to a belly dancing evening in April and I have to say I loved belly dancing and indian food – what a great combination right? Dancing with music and tambourine player I heard to accompany the belly dancer – what more can a woman ask ? My friends and I always think of something interesting to do around town, and if there is nothing to do, we head up to the city and paint the town red. And I anticipated an evening of good fun as the hostess and host are both very charming. I look forward to a full belly and some belly dancing moments.
Met up with one of my girlfriend who recently was separated from her husband. Well, I shouldn’t really say recently for it had been about 1.5 yrs now and as much as I would love to continue supporting her, it’s now getting a little tiring for me. Because I think I’ve overextended myself in the attempt to make her feel less lonely on her own – so that she wouldn’t make the wrong decision to go back to her ex.
I have included her in everything I do from work to leisure and I think it’s time to let go now – and let her soar on her own. I haven’t been spending too much time with my own kids and spouse because of her – not her fault but I think I was overly helpful and although the spouse hasn’t said anything yet, I think I should now let go a little and let her be her own person.
So we sat down for a cup of coffee and carrot cake and talked for a bit and I told her a little white lie that I am going to be quite busy in the following weeks. So hopefully, she will find things to do on her own and learn to be stronger without me. I will always be there for her but it’s time to let go a little.
Thru’ a friend, the spouse found the perfect gift for me for my birthday because all of a sudden I decided I wanted to be healthier and drink chinese tea instead. I’ve been drinking the Steel Empress of late and also tried the Japanese Sencha that I absolutely loved. But drinking them in a traditional tea pot is absolutely awesome. I loved how the spouse knows what I want or needed and he gets them for me without having me to ask for it. He is that good – or is it being in a relationship for 20 yrs that nurture our understanding for each other. And the spouse is another rare find, I tell myself all the time.
So the spouse and I were recently eating in an outdoor cafe in Florida and there were ladies smoking not cigarettes – but cigars. I loved the smell of cigar more than cigarette, so I didn’t mind at all – afterall, you see J. Lo smoking a cigar every now and then too. But some people in my group were quite appalled to see the ladies smoking macanudo cigar – and I was quite surprised because in this time and age, you would think that people are a lot more open and acceptable to anything. And to me smoking a cigar was not really a huge deal – even if you are a woman. I didn’t join in the conversation of course because some people are just so into themselves – but I did say to these people that I didn’t mind the cigar smell at all – I hope they get my message. But truth be told I think ladies who smoke cigars are a lot more sexier and I truly admire them for daring to try other things and not care what others think of them.
Yes, the things we do for our kids just to keep them happy and motivated. The oldest kid will be back from college for March break next week and he had asked the spouse to look at some parker guitars at music123 . It was a huge hint that the spouse should buy him one since he did so well this term. I’m really not for it because it is way too expensive – and too valuable to bring it with him to college. But in hindsight, he is no longer a kid – he will be turning 19 soon and if we can trust him with a car, why can’t we trust him with a guitar the spouse argued. So in the end the spouse agreed to get him the guitar, while I only paid for the hard case – the things we do for our kids!
You are probably wondering – what the hell this is right? hahahah! i don’t blame you – coz’ I was wondering the same thing too when it was placed in front of me. You see when you sit at the sushi bar, you don’t get to choose what you want to eat, the sushi chef will bring out whatever he thinks is the best catch for the day or evening. Anyhow, no regrets for eating at the sushi bar – because it’s not everyday that you get to sit at one of the best sushi restaurant in New York. So what is this? this is Ark’s shell liver – it’s sorta like a clam – and clam’s liver ? first I’ve heard of but who am I to complain – because the ark’s shell liver was awesome!
The spouse and I are always invited for parties by friends and families and sometimes friends of friends – now the best ones are parties hosted by his company or those related to his company. Why? because they are so much more glamorous and I loved playing dress up and I loved those with live music and a dance floor. I collect dj business cards whenever I go to such parties in case I need their services in the future and it’s always good to have them when my friends are throwing a party – or need suggestions.
Thus far this year, we’ve attended a few parties and have thrown one ourselves during the spouse’s birthday – and we did have live music and dancing – so I’m glad I had hired the dj that we both liked at one of the parties we’ve attended. My friends who had attended our recent birthday party cannot stop raving about the dj we had – I was only too happy to pass along the contact.
We attended a baby shower of the spouse’s co – worker and everyone had chipped in to get her a fetal doppler for a baby shower present besides our own personal gift. Since this was her first baby, we can understand how excited one can be – so after reading more from fetal doppler reviews – we did eventually picked up one that was really cheap and had many good reviews. I never buy anything online that doesn’t have a review, and of course reviews from real people who have had used them – I loved those. Anyhow, the baby shower was fun, we played some games and it was hilarious. There were many cupcakes at the shower, I didn’t really eat much but the mom-to-be was very nice and she was a darn good host. I really enjoyed the baby shower and even though we all chipped in a lot for the baby shower – more than we would for a friend, we felt that it was nice to make her feel good with having a first baby.
